Pliva

Pliva

A turquoise gem of the Balkans, Pliva, with its three sources, flows at full capacity, its sources among the largest sources of drinking water in Europe. The tourist complex overseeing the river is located just a few hundred meters below its source, making it an ideal base, especially for larger groups of over 4 people. In its upper course, Pliva is rich in large specimens of Grayling and Brown Trout. However, due to its purity, slow flow, and abundance of fish food, it is considered one of the most challenging rivers for fishing, earning a special place in the hearts of true enthusiasts who enjoy the challenge of outsmarting wild grayling. With the right guidance from our guides, you can expect to reel in some of the largest and most spirited grayling of your life. The upper course of the river, about a kilometer downstream from the complex, is fast-flowing with plenty of rocks and rapids, ideal for European Nymphing. Further downstream, the river widens and deepens, calming down, although there are areas where wading is possible, most fishing is done from the bank. Two C&R zones are available, the first in its upper course open year-round and the second near its confluence with the Vrbas River in the town of Jajce, open from March 1st to September 30th, allowing two flies.
