Una

Una

Una, what can I say about a river that the ancient Romans named the only one… in such a vast empire. Fortunately, the river was recently declared a national park, thus protected from dams and hydroelectric power plants, which are the greatest enemies of our rivers. I fell in love with it at first sight over 20 years ago, a river you will never forget. In addition to the FF zone, there is also a special zone for Danube Salmon fishing, which is surely one of the richest in this species of fish. I especially recommend the zones in Martin Brod and Kulen Vakuf, and for adventurers, I have a few surprises up my sleeve. From the confluence with the Unac River, the river is large and wide, with a turquoise color rarely encountered, rich in grayling and trout. Downstream from the Strbacki Buk waterfall and Mladica (Danube Salmon), it is not far from Ribnik. However, my suggestion is always to spend at least one night in Martin Brod or Kulen Vakuf to combine Unac and Una in two days of fishing and save time on transportation (about 2 hours drive from Ribnik in one direction). Una and Unac are an excellent choice alongside Ribnik, Sana, Pliva, and Sanica, as they offer something entirely different yet equally beautiful and interesting.
